About "Shackleton Music Series"

After completing 'Life in the Sub-Antarctic Campbell Island - The Weather Station Years,' my co-producer Peter embarked on an unexpected journey to Campbell Island and South Georgia, coinciding with the 100th anniversary of Shackleton's passing.

Inspired by Shackleton's epic tale, we're flipping the traditional album release on its head. Instead of completing the album first, we're writing, recording and releasing it as singles as we go. Each track is infused with sound effects that immerse you in the story of Shackleton's journey.

Our debut release, "Shackleton: Part I and II - Eve of the Great War / Leaving South Georgia," includes a rare recording of Shackleton's voice, setting the stage for our adventure. Each single is royalty-free for use on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, inviting you to join us in making history through music. When completed, we will release it as an album.

Follow our progress below and read more about the Shackleton music project on our blog for behind-the-scenes insights, upcoming releases, and reflections on Shackleton's enduring legacy.
